Idera Announces Executive Promotions

Idera reported the promotion of Heidi Farris to vice president and general manager of the company’s Database Tools business. The company also announced the promotion of Neil Garrett, who will replace Farris as chief marketing officer. Farris will be responsible for prioritizing and driving initiatives to improve Idera’s database business, which includes the IDERA and AquaFold brands. Garrett spent the last two years as vice president of marketing for IDERA, leading eCommerce, web development, digital strategy, product marketing, social, events, corporate communications and community initiatives for the database tools business. In his new role, Garrett will lead the same activities across the company, working closely with product and sales leadership to deliver on Idera’s customer success and growth goals.

IDERA Introduces Workload Analysis for SAP HANA

IDERA released Workload Analysis for SAP HANA. The product helps data teams transition to SAP HANA and simplifies the operation of these high-performance databases, allowing businesses to benefit from the real-time insight and analytics made possible by SAP’s unique technology. SAP HANA is an in-memory computing platform that allows companies to analyze large volumes of data quickly to deliver more business intelligence and simplify IT operations. The platform is gaining momentum in SAP environments and over other traditional database platforms where database administrators (DBAs) are consolidating multiple database instances to expand access to real-time data and reduce costs. IDERA’s Workload Analysis for SAP HANA complements SAP’s native tools, providing DBAs visibility into how memory is being used and how SQL code is working in their SAP HANA instance without any of the vulnerabilities that come from full management access. With IDERA tools, DBAs can now view their entire Oracle, SQL Server and SAP database environments, including SAP HANA and Sybase ASE. IDERA’s Workload Analysis for SAP HANA provides visibility into new instances that helps data teams transition to the SAP HANA platform.
